I think MAMEHub should improve their detections of consoles and computers.
For example, all of the supported consoles, computers & arcades should come up in the bios list if you have the bios just like the original MAME and MESS.
I keep on hearing stuff like PC Engine working but the bios doesn't even come up in the list unless you audit a game rom.
This shouldn't happen, all working systems should come up in the list without having to audit a game first to avoid confusion about what is working and what isn't.
If possible I think it would be cool if we had the proper traditional detection system form MESS and MAMEXT in there where it puts a red X for non working and a disk thing for working but all bios show.

I keep on hearing stuff like PC Engine working but the bios doesn't even come up in the list unless you audit a game rom. There is no BIOS required for the pce system to load cartridges (hucards). You do need to have roms that match the pce/tg16 hash files though. For CD's, you need to have the CHD that matches the pcecd.xml from MESS 0.143. Again, there is no BIOS for pce/tg16 cd-roms but you will need the appropriate regions cd-rom driver cartridge (i.e. "turbografx cd super system card (usa) (v3.0).pce") or else you get an error message like this: The current pce.hsi and tg16.hsi hash files were last updated on r50 (August 5th, 2011). They cover all pce/tg16 hucards and the tg16 (usa only) cd-roms. See the Hash File FAQ for more information on hash files in MAMEHub.
