You should update the snes.hsi to snesdsp.hsi in a live update. It is now officially confirmed by myself that it works like and Everdrive or Powerpak and runs both Normal and DSP games under the rename.
Whats the point in keeping the lesser compatibility snes.hsi file in MAMEHub when a renamed as snesdsp.hsi file will play everything DSP and Normal in MAMEHub?

Whats the point in keeping the lesser compatibility snes.hsi file in MAMEHub when a renamed as snesdsp.hsi file will play everything DSP and Normal in MAMEHub? Digitalghost has implemented your idea on October 7th, 2011 with the release of r102. Everyone's snes.hsi has been renamed to snesdsp.hsi. Background:DSP chipped games were split off by MESS into their own separate system [snesdsp] not long ago. When MAMEHub was updated from MESS 0.141 to MESS 0.143 (on August 12th) this caused games like Super Mario Kart to continue to be loaded under the [snes] system where they won't work anymore without DSP emulation. They need to be loaded under the [snesdsp] system. Because most of the playable games with enhancement chips are DSP, the current workaround of renaming the snes.hsi hash file to snesdsp.hsi is enough to get by. This causes all SNES games to now load as SNES w/DSP [snesdsp]. It doesn't seem to be impacting non-DSP ROMs to do this. In the future, the SNES hash file contents will be split off into into their respective systems such as BSX [snesbsx], SuperFX [snessfx], DSP [snesdsp] and others. See the Hash File FAQ linked below if you want to help in this effort.
