Hey, you guys are cool, I enjoyed the few games I was able to play, but I am uninstalling mamehub and leaving.
More than half of my games don't work with it and the updates take too long. I found the experience fun when it worked, but this was about 10% of the time. The interface, install, and usage are far too tedious.
When it can be simply installed and games can be easily used/obtained let me know, until then I say farewell.

When i first read OP story if felt sad, becuase for me Mamehub is an amazing program, games not working is the exception not the rule. So i look at his post history to see what his problem might be, since his post gives no details to his exact problems.
To my surprise your problem is an easy fix don't work because you have old roms. But what shocks me is that you know this. Now i can understand that becuase of where you live your internet is not the greatest, but if your internet cant handle a simple rom download how the fuck are you suppose to play online?
Not to sound uncaring but the problems your having with mamehub are "your" problems not mamehub itself, yet here you are lying to make it seem that mamehub is unplayable, why? Are you such a petty person that since you cant play on mamehub you would scare anyone away who may be confused as to why they are having trouble playing instead of finding the correct solution?
Mamehub is an amazing program and since i joined Digitalghost and Spoot have been making updates daily, and its only getting better. Its not Mamehubs responsibility to give you up to date roms but as it is thanks to p2p downloads its the easiest mame and mess emulators out there

Ok, now about Max's comments. There's nothing wrong with a user providing some post-experience feedback. I appreciate this post. The reason (among others) is because it demonstrates what I was saying here. At this time, MAMEHub is most practically used by those who are experienced with and interested in keeping their ROM sets up to date. Unlike some other similar platforms, MAMEHub tends to utilize the latest in MAME & MESS technology. Naturally, this means using the latest ROMs too! There are a lot of issues for users in the setup and execution of MAMEHub. Let's be honest. But a lot of those issues are because MAMEHub is a free and open platform that is developed by Digitalghost (and spoot) when they have free time. So it is going to be a little rough around the edges sometimes. Then again, so are many other emulators. MAMEHub will not live up to everyones expectations and that's ok. What we can do is to try to continue building the MAMEHub community while also trying to keep expectations set correctly.
