CPS3 NVRAM Background:MAME emulates hardware as authentically as possible. Accordingly, the CD-ROM based CPS3 games require an initialized NVRAM before they can be played. (Unitialized CPS3 illustration 1 - sfiii2)(Unitialized CPS3 illustration 2 - sfiii2)Description:The sfiii2.nv NVRAM file (linked below) has the CD-ROM drive already initialized. Use this pre-configured NVRAM to avoid the 15-minute CD-ROM drive initialization period. note: sfiii2n Street Fighter III 2nd Impact: Giant Attack (Asia 970930, NO CD)) does not require a pre-configured NVRAM file to be playable on bootup. Game Information:Title | Street Fighter III 2nd Impact: Giant Attack (USA 970930) | Set | sfiii2 | Manufacturer | Capcom | Year | 1997 |
Directions:1. Download the pre-configured sfiii2 NVRAM here: www.sendspace.com/file/ksfs3d (40.58MB) 2. Unzip the file and place the sfiii2.nv into your mamehub\dist\nvram folder*. 3. Keep the .zip file. 4. Both players should unzip (and overwrite) their sfiii2.nv each time before hosting a new sfiii2 game. * If you're just starting out you may not have a mamehub\dist\nvram folder yet. In this case, create the folder manually.Author:uploaded by Krusty. I immediately cancelled the game following the CD-ROM initialization to ensure the cleanest NVRAM possible with default settings. This NVRAM is MAME .141 compliant and may not work with future MAMEHub releases.Extra:n/a
