well i just wanted to suggest the replay mode of kalliera and the player switch button but it seems that mihawk and afdal were faster then me anyway.. i have some nice ideas for mamehub : supporting nvram plus give us a option to choose between loading the entire game ram when someone joins or just use a savestate ( would be dramaticialy faster and especialy good for bad connections.. then the custom frame delay system of kalliera could be integrated to higher / lower delay like you want and get the best lag/spike free experience .. : ) also a manual sync check button (mame32k offer one as i know but it seems to work just when it wants ..) to check sync for long games if someone is not sure about the sync state plus a manual resynch button which first is useable after sync check says its out of sync would be nice cause sometimes mamehub first notices the desynch after minutes and re synch too late :/ aah and a little frontend for csmame/csmess which let us host/join with the rom download of mamehub would be nice puuh ... i think iam running out ideas now : p iam a kalliera / different netplay user ( althought iam getting more and more to mamehub ) but this mamehub/csmame/mess is nice work and it have the potential to get the greatest device for almost all systems i mean the idea to boundle mess and mame in one power netplay device is just brilliant especialy cause mess and mame is based on the same system which makes its easier to netplay code it : P good work man you have my respect greetings Valnar22 <(^_^)> mjam

[...] supporting nvram [...] I know this is an older thread. But I just wanted to point that since MESS 0.143 was incorporated into MAMEHub, saving/loading nvram works a lot more often now. For example, NES/SNES nvram saving/loading works nowadays. [...] give us a option to choose between loading the entire game ram when someone joins or just use a savestate [...] Digitalghost could speak to this topic more accurately than I. I can only speculate: Exchanging save states is not a part of the MAMEHub design because save states do not work for all games (in MAME or MESS). A tremendous amount of time and energy would be needed to identify and then maintain a list of which games have working save states. If save states universally worked in all games in MAME & MESS or if there was a way to easily identify them (though the -listxml) then maybe it is something Digitalghost would consider looking at. [...] custom frame delay system [...] also a manual sync check button [...] to check sync for long games if someone is not sure about the sync state [...] I love the idea of being able to customize the delay. I've seen other emulators do that and I have had success using it. A manual check to verify the host/clients are sync'd could also be helpful. Great ideas. Perhaps Digitalghost will review these ideas for inclusion. [...] and a little frontend for csmame/csmess which let us host/join with the rom download of mamehub would be nice [...] Not sure I follow this. MAMEHub is a frontend for csmame/csmess and it supports rom sharing. [...] but this mamehub/csmame/mess is nice work and it have the potential to get the greatest device for almost all systems i mean the idea to boundle mess and mame in one power netplay device is just brilliant especialy cause mess and mame is based on the same system which makes its easier to netplay code it : P good work man you have my respect greetings Valnar22 <(^_^)> [...] Couldn't agree more. All hail Digitalghost! blub
