just go to pleasuredome.org.uk and sign up then download the mame143 torrent and then your good to go. its 21 GB it took me about a day to DL it all (i started it b4 i went to bed) and after you donwload it make sure you seed it so others can download it too. then (when it is released) find the mame143u7 rom updates and download that

you dont need speed and file space is easy. just take ab unch of your programs you dont use anymore (i guarantee their are some) and uninstall em. or go to control panel uninstall a program and then sort from biggest size to smallest and uninstall a bunch you dont use.

Trust me, I don't have the disk space and with my connection it would take me ten years. My ISP cuts service if I transfer too much data. Maybe I'll save the torrent and then run it when I am somewhere else on external. Thanks for the idea.

what version of mame must the roms be compatible with to show up in the mamehub list? MAME 0.143 (major version) from June 28th. a lot of my games are too old and clrmamepro is too hard and I need to get some new games. Considering the scenario of low disk and low bandwidth availability, I would advise going through the pain of learning clrmamepro processes (as many of us have had to). You may able to recover quite a few ROMs from your currently outdated set. (I would advise using the 'rebuilder' tool within clrmamepro if you decide to go in that direction) I can't speak for anyone else but I struggled to learn how to use clrmamepro correctly (so that I could match MAME/MESS torrents 100% before joining). It was through pleasuredome that I finally got the processes down correctly and now it is easy. Clrmamepro is seeing wide usage. Many entities such as TOSEC or progretto-snaps provide .dat files for use with clrmamepro in order to help users validate their resources. This is relevant with respect to assembling MESS Software lists and vintage computer software for use with MAMEHub. I'll see if i can post a clrmamepro guide from pleasuredome if you're interested.

Very interested Mr. Krustofski. I was using scan and fix, I thought the rebuilder you still had to have good roms to compare too. I started reading the docs at clrmamepro's site but it's too tedious. Looking forward to whatever you can find to help me.

MaxPower: change your Internet to another better provider. Sounds like you cannot get any worse. I was always being capped from my previous ISP I know how it used to feel.

I would if I had any other option but all that exists where I live is dialup, verizon wireless, and satellite which everyone says is problematic and I can't afford. I live far from civilization.
