I've noticed while playing metal slug with a friend that the emulator starts stuttering in regular intervals, I'm guessing while its trying to re-synch.
This wouldnt be so bad if it didnt happen every minute or so and makes the game & sound stutter for a matter of seconds where everything will be frozen & then speed up a bit sometimes afterwards. He was connecting to me as the host with a ping around 115.
Any way to lessen this effect? It made the game not very fun to play as it happened so regularly..
Thank You!

Some games cannot fully recover from going out of sync because of poor save state support, so some variables remain out of sync. To fix this, the _host_ can do a couple of things. Try them out and see if one or both of them help your game: 1) In mame.ini & mess.ini , set the secondsbetweensync variable high (to like 300 or something) 2) In mame.ini & mess.ini , set the synctransferseconds variable to 1

Seemed to work! Played through 2 levels of metal slug 3 with no issues at all after that.
Also made sure not to hit any buttons until the clients connected to the host, so that may have helped as well.. either way its working great now =)
Thanks!
