Me and my brother were trying to play a game with a friend of ours from across town. Me and my brother are in the same house, on the same internet connection. If i was logged into the server, he would not be able to log in and vice versa. We would get the error about not being able to make a two way connection. Is the server rejecting us because it doesnt allow two users from the same ip?
If so is there a solution for me and my brother to play a 4 player game from the same ip with two other people in different locations?

First i thought it was not possible at all, but after thinking about it again, it should be possible to do this in theory. If you host on mamehub as nomral, and make sure port forwards to you only. Tell your brother what your LAN IP numbrer is, and try to get him to connect directly to you that way (and not via MAME Hub). Your brother would have to connect to you running the CS-MAME program from command line, if wanting to play an arcade game. I recommend your brother uses a batch file, and create a desktop icon for that. Your brothers batch file would have to contain the following text: C:\Emulators\MAMEHub\dist\vmame.exe mk2 -client -hostname 192.168.0.50 (IP number would be your IP number on your LAN) If you dont understand this, just let me know.

Configure a 2nd port for MAMEHub on your router. Example: 5810 2. Forward that port in your router to the 2nd computer trying to launch MAMEHub. 3. Use port 5810 on the 2nd computer at the MAMEHub startup screen.

Ah yes, silly me. Still thinking of old way mamehub used to work with one fixed port number.
There's no reason why krusty's method should not work for you, as far as i can see.

Well it worked!!! Only once... So we tried and got connected with another friend but had pretty bad lag. I figured it was because i was uploading something at the same time so we disconnected and waited for the upload to finish before we tried again. From then on me, and my brother were not able to connect to eachother. Any combinations of me, my brother, and my friend hosting would fail as soon as both me and my brother tried to connect. Two things would happen. 1. between me and my brother the second person connecting, would get stuck at the catching up screen at 0% and the server wouldnt do anything. 2. It would kick both of us out. The logs would say something about joining to late. I even tried your solution zambr123 but it would just give me an error about the roms missing. I figure launching vmame directly uses a different config but i didnt see any so i just gave up.

The joining too late issue has been fixed awhile ago. Are you running mamehub 0.4? if you are running 0.3, you will not be able to get the latest updates.
